Parachute

This Parachute model is a hands – on exploration of the science of flight. The large, canopy – like structure and the attached cords are designed to demonstrate how a parachute works to slow down an object’s descent. As you assemble it, you’ll understand the importance of the size and shape of the canopy in relation to air resistance. Once completed, you can conduct simple experiments, dropping the parachute from different heights and observing how it affects the fall speed.
